I don’t know what’s gotten into me… I’ve never been a huge latte/beverage person but I’ve been making nut-milk lattes like crazy lately!
This vegan golden milk has been on heavy rotation. As I mentioned with my moon milk recipe, it’s inspired by the Ayurvedic ideal that warm milk can aid in a good night’s sleep. Not to mention, turmeric has loads of benefits like its anti-inflammatory properties, its skin boosting benefits and its antioxidants. It’s super important to include a pinch of black pepper whenever you use turmeric - it activates the healing properties of the spice!
I love sipping on this potion right before bed or as a mid-afternoon drink for when I’m feeling a bit tired and in need of some warmth. Feel free to use whatever non-dairy milk that you desire, keeping in mind that each one will provide a different consistency and flavor to the drink.
1 cup nut milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp maple syrup or coconut sugar
Pinch of black pepper
Blend all ingredients together, adding more sweetener if desired. Boil in a saucepan, pour into your favorite mug and sip away!
